Scholarships

We offer a number of scholarships each year – awarded to those pupils we think likely to make a considerable contribution to the life of the school, and who show outstanding ability and potential.

Who can apply?

We welcome applications from those who would like to join us at Year 7 or Year 9.

What is the selection procedure?

The process takes place in two stages. If you apply, the first stage will be the usual assessment process for entry to the school, which is common to all prospective pupils.

Based on the results of these tests, we will invite a number of candidates back to sit for an Academic Scholarship, which will involve further examinations and interviews. This takes place in early February – at which time candidates for the Art and Performing Arts scholarships are also invited to come for auditions and interviews.

We will also take into account a reference from your current school and examples of recent work.

How do I apply?

The first thing to do is to contact us and arrange to come in for a visit: please phone 01865 302620.

This visit will be an opportunity to meet the Head, see the school and its facilities in action, and explore any issues or questions you might have.

Types of Scholarship

Academic Up to four each year for outstanding academic potential. Requires evidence of a high level of academic achievement to date.
