We are excited to invite you to d'Overbroeck's International School’s GCSE Art Exhibition on Thursday 8 June from 4-6 pm at d'Overbroeck's Arts Centre. This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible creativity and hard work of our talented Art students.
Over the course of this academic year, 11i GCSE Art students have developed 2 large-scale projects, covering themes such as ‘Leftovers’, ‘Wounded Landscapes’, ‘Journey’, ‘The News’ and ‘Isolation’, amongst others. Students have used these to initiate a personal investigation, working across a wide and unconventional range of materials, leading to exciting outcomes. Students have often made links and references to their hometowns and countries, reflecting on aspects of their own cultures. This creates a vibrant, personal, and very global-minded exhibition, where they each share highlights of their journey.
Everyone is welcome to attend this event and show their support for our budding artists – but please make sure to book. It will be a fantastic opportunity to view a wide range of artwork, including paintings and mixed media pieces, all created by our talented International School students.
So, mark your calendars and join us for an unforgettable evening of art and creativity. We can't wait to see you there!
