Principal Patrick Horne was proud to welcome pupils and parents who both accredited their success and overall achievements to the exceptional teaching staff at the school.

A parent of one of our successful students quotes, “The teaching has been excellent. They go above and beyond, and my daughter has been supported in all of her initiatives and it’s amazing how all the students are encouraged to do their own things”.

With a focus on nurturing creativity students are provided with the opportunities to do what they love, with a real sense of purpose and curiosity. The unique culture at d’Overbroeck’s promotes powerful relationships between students and staff, based on mutual respect and trust.

Principal Patrick Horne adds, “This is another superb set of GCSE and IGCSE results. It has been a privilege to share the joy with the students and their families, and with our dedicated teaching staff who have supported the students every step of the way.

Not only do these students have excellent grades, we also see them growing up as responsible, confident and happy young people. We look forward to them achieving even greater success as they move on to our Sixth Form and commencing their A Level studies.”

With good humour at the heart of the school’s ethos, students are encouraged to embrace self-expression; with both students and teachers calling one another by their first names and prioritising comfort over formality by replacing uniform with clothes that they feel most comfortable in.

Our worldclass, inspirational teachers and pastoral support program, empowers children to believe in themselves, creating confident, inquisitive, and independent young people.

Head of d’Overbroeck’s Senior School, Nick Haines adds, “We're delighted by our latest set of fantastic exam results, the headline statistics are great, but they are the culmination of a set of unique individual stories, each of which represents a student’s inspirational, and yet sometimes challenging journey.

We are very proud of our students’ achievements, not just in the exam room, but in their overall participation in our school community.

We look forward to supporting the majority of our students at our Senior School and International School as they take their next steps forwards into our Sixth Form”.
